BofA lease takes occupancy to 100% at Paramount's 900 Third Avenue.


While leasing activity along the Third Avenue corridor has, for the most part, remained sluggish, the Paramount Group's 900 Third Avenue continues on a roll.

With three recent lease signings, the distinctive 36-story, 530,000 square foot office tower is now 100% leased--a rare, if not unique, distinction along the thoroughfare THOROUGHFARE. A street or way so open that one can go through and get out of it without returning. It differs from a cul de sac, (q.v.) which is open only at one end.
     2. Whether a street which is not a thoroughfare is a highway, seems not fully settled.

 has leased 8,000 square feet of prime ground level retail space at the northwest corner of 54th Street for a new full service banking center. The space, formerly occupied by The Gap, is expected to be ready for occupancy in 4th Quarter 2004.

On December 20, 2006, the corporation, also known as CBRE, completed acquisition of Trammell Crow Co. in a transaction valued at $2.  represented Bank of America in the 10 year space transaction while James VanderVliet, Vice President of Leasing for the Paramount Group, represented the landlord.

Mr. VanderVliet reports that the remaining 11,000 square feet of retail space at 900 Third Avenue has been leased for a term of 20 years to art supplies giant Sam Flax flax, common name for members of the Linaceae, a family of annual herbs, especially members of the genus Linum, and for the fiber obtained from such plants. The flax of commerce (several varieties of L. , which expects to open its new flagship store at the building within 90 days. On the office side, the real estate law firm of Solomon & Weinberg, represented by Cushman & Wakefield, recently leased the tower's last available space--the entire 17,500 square foot 29th floor--for its new headquarters. The firm expects to relocate from 685 Third Avenue during the fourth quarter.

"To us, 900 is the 'jewel' of Third Avenue, so, naturally, we're very proud and excited over the success our building has achieved in the marketplace," stated Paramount CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
