Boeing has selected Joe Mills to lead the Chicago company's effort on the Jupiter Icy Moons Orbiter The Jupiter Icy Moons Orbiter (JIMO) was a proposed spacecraft designed to explore the icy moons of Jupiter. This type of rocket engines utilize electric energy to obtain thrust, unlike the "normal" rocket engines that use chemical energy.  technologies to revolutionize space exploration. Mills and his team will explore technology options for building the first spacecraft that would use nuclear electric propulsion. Mills previously headed the International Space Station program for Boeing NASA Systems.
