 will build the fourth Wideband Gapfiller Satellite for the US Air Force under a $299.8 million contract. This is the first award under the Block II contract, valued at more than $ one billion if all options are exercised. Boeing is currently building the first three Block I satellites, but will include a radio frequency bypass capability for the Block II unit, this to support airborne airborne /airĀ·borne/ (arĀ“born) suspended in, transported by, or spread by air.
