Boeing has recently submitted its response to a US Air Force request for proposals for the development and production of the GPS III enhanced GPS constellation. The potential $1.8 billion contract for the first eight Block A GPS III satellites is scheduled to be awarded by end-2007 to meet a projected 2013 launch date.
