Boeing has received the first two engines for the Joint Unmanned Combat Air Systems Joint Unmanned Combat Air Systems, or J-UCAS, was the name for the joint U.S. Navy/U.S. Air Force unmanned combat air vehicle procurement project. The two vehicles involved in the project were the Boeing X-45 and Northrop Grumman X-47.  (J-Ucas) X-45C UAV UAV Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

The engines were accepted at a General Electric plant, in Massachusetts Massachusetts (măsəch`sĭts), most populous of the New England states of the NE United States. , although Boeing is building three X-45C aircraft in St. Louis. Each of the drones will be powered by a single F404 engine, which will give the vessel a 1200-nautical mile radius at 0.80 Mach up to 40,000 feet. The first X-45C flight is scheduled for 2007.
