:BA) officials today delayed the first launch of the Boeing Delta IV Delta IV can refer to

, which was scheduled to launch a commercial telecommunications satellite for Eutelsat on Saturday, Nov. 16 from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station The Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS) is the East Coast space launch facility of the United States Department of Defense. Located on Cape Canaveral in the State of Florida, it depends on Patrick Air Force Base, home of the 45th Space Wing. CCAFS is adjacent to the John F. , Fla.

The launch team is working to resolve a potential issue. A determination on launch readiness will be made Tuesday, Nov. 19.

A media conference will be held today at 3 p.m. EST at the DoubleTree Hotel, 2080 N. Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach, Fla. Officials from Boeing, Eutelsat, Alcatel Space, the U.S. Air Force and Pratt & Whitney will provide details on the delay as well as information on the Delta IV W5 mission.
