(Nasdaq:CCUR CCUR Center for Crops Utilization Research ) announced today that The Boeing Company's Aerospace Support business recently purchased four MediaHawk(tm) Video Servers as debrief de·brief

Helicopter Training Program. The total purchase order is for $2.6 million. Concurrent's long-time customer, Boeing, will now be able to take advantage of Concurrent's hot new technology, Video-On-Demand (VOD See video-on-demand.

), integrating it into its cutting-edge, real-time simulation and training debrief systems.

Concurrent's MediaHawk debrief system can simultaneously record the actions of one crew in a simulator while playing back the events of a previous session for a second crew. With the MediaHawk, instructors can "mark" certain events with hand-held controllers and play back those events in any sequence desired. These debrief systems can accommodate multiple channels, or streams, each of which is completely independent and interactive. Users are able to select, play, stop, and pause on each digital video stream independently with prompt and predictable response times. Furthermore, these video streams are delivered with no degradation to performance or video quality regardless of the number of digital video streams concurrently supported. By implementing Concurrent's innovative technology, variable-bit-rate encoded data can be supported to deliver improved and consistent video quality, and reduce content storage requirements and costs. MediaHawk can be incorporated into existing training systems and can be configured to support one or more simulators.

The MediaHawk debrief system records cockpit video, aircraft multi-function display video, sensor video, and several audio channels. A recording of simulator network data is coupled with the multiple video streams, and this data may be used at the debrief to recreate a visual (stealth) view of the exercise area. While a debrief is in progress, the instructor may review the recorded video data alongside the visual recreation of the simulated virtual environment. The recreated stealth view can be used to review any event from any perspective, thus delivering a highly detailed yet easily understood debrief of the most complex situations.

This is the latest sale of Concurrent's debrief systems among traditional real-time customers, thus demonstrating a growing demand to combine state-of-the-art VOD technology with traditional simulation and training systems. Other debrief customers include STN Atlas STN ATLAS Elektronik GmbH was a German defence company, producing sensors and other electronic or computer components such as Radar, Sonar, fire-control systems, simulations.  Elektronik GmbH; a German company that was contracted to develop tank simulators for the German Army; Thomson Training & Simulation, which used the system in the British Army's Lynx multi-role helicopter simulator; and Aer Lingus Aer Lingus is Ireland's national airline. Based in Dublin, it operates 41 Airbus aircraft serving Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East. The airline is 28% owned by the Irish government; it was floated on the Dublin and London Stock Exchanges on 2 October 2006, .

"This is a significant project for us," said Mike McGaugh, Boeing's Program Manager. "The WAH-64 Apache is one of the most technologically advanced combat helicopters in production today, and as such it requires highly-trained flight crews to fully exploit its capabilities. Therefore, we were extremely selective in the choice of a training system to use in conjunction with our simulation facilities. Concurrent's 12-channel debrief system allows us to provide effective training while promoting efficient use of simulator resources."

"We are seeing growing demand from our large, real-time customer base to incorporate VOD technology in training and simulation projects," said Corky cork·y
