Boeing Presents Performance Excellence Award to Newark--Again.

CHICAGO -- Newark, a leading multi-channel, high-service electronics distributor in the Americas and part of the global Premier Farnell Group, today announced that it has received a 2008 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. This is the second consecutive year that Newark has been awarded this honor.

The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. Newark maintained a Silver performance composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from October 1, 2007 to September 30, 2008.

Newark stocks electronic components and equipment from more than 440+ top suppliers, and Boeing buys from the majority of its lines.

"We are honored to receive this award for the second consecutive year," commented, DeWight Wallace, President, Newark. "Only a small fraction of Boeing's 12,000+ suppliers qualify for this distinction, and we feel privileged to be among them."
