Note that AAR also stands for "After Action Review" (de-briefing) and in aviation, IFR also stands for  Operator Control Display (AROCD).

The PMD will provide selected video information directly to the pilots on the flight deck while the AROCD will provide refueling management and control information to the refueling operator.

This multi-year agreement will include a minimum number of airplanes and is valued at approximately $10 million. In addition, substantial additional business is anticipated for this advanced technology tanker transport program in the global defense marketplace.

IS&S is the leading RVSM RVSM Reduced Vertical Separation Minimums/Minima (aircraft)  retrofit supplier to the military, commercial air transport, and business aviation markets. It has fitted over 1,500 RVSM systems to various aircraft types. In addition, IS&S manufactures the industry's largest flat panel cockpit display, designed to upgrade aircraft to the highest standards and more significant demands of today's cockpits.

RVSM requires aircraft at high altitudes to fly closer to each other than they have in the past. This allows more aircraft to fly in the existing airspace, which increases airline efficiencies. RVSM saves millions of dollars per year through reduced fuel costs and more direct routing. The FAA has estimated over 6,000 aircraft will require air data system upgrades to fly in RVSM airspace. FAA planning has targeted December 2004 as the date for RVSM compliance in the continental United States United States territory, including the adjacent territorial waters, located within North America between Canada and Mexico. Also called CONUS. . Europe, the North Atlantic, the Caribbean, and Asia have already implemented RVSM mandates.
