Boeing Employees Credit Union "Live" and Projecting Savings with Ultimate Software's UltiPro.

WESTON, Fla. -- Ultimate Software (Nasdaq:ULTI), a leading provider of end-to-end strategic human resources, payroll, and talent management solutions, announced today that Boeing Employees Credit Union (BECU), the largest credit union in Washington and one of the top 10 financial cooperatives in the country, is "live" on UltiPro and already experiencing benefits compared to the enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution it used previously.

BECU switched to UltiPro from an ERP built on cumbersome 16-bit UNIX architecture because the credit union's HR team wanted a fully-functional, cost-effective solution on a more updated platform congruent with the company's internal systems. With its agile Microsoft SQL Server platform, UltiPro was the choice. Having gone "live" in April 2007, BECU is on track to save more than $250,000 in the next three years, with additional returns following because of lower maintenance and overall operating costs.

"Based upon our return on investment analysis, we expect to save in excess of a quarter of a million dollars over the next three years," said Greg Stannard, BECU's HRIS manager. "Part of that savings is attributed to the implementation, which was very smooth."

Having already rolled out manager and employee self-service, BECU is able to take advantage of UltiPro's Internet access to give associates convenient 24/7 rights to their own human resource and payroll details. With its previous vendor, BECU's employees and managers could only access self-service functionality via the company's internal network, but with UltiPro, BECU can make its workforce portal available from anywhere via a Web connection.

"I think our employees appreciate the flexibility of being able to log on from home whenever they want to update their hours worked, personal information, direct deposit selections, or beneficiary choices. Managers also have the flexibility to approve employee timesheets from hotel, office or home," said Stannard. "The flexibility of the UltiPro portal allows us to provide links to outside resources, such as benefit providers, much easier than we could with our previous vendor."

UltiPro is also providing BECU's managers with more flexibility by giving them the ability to delegate approval responsibilities through UltiPro's workflow tools when they are out of the office -- a feature they did not have with the ERP. With UltiPro, users have the option to delegate employee requests to the appropriate manager or management team for approvals, so there are no bottlenecks in the process.
