 for food microbiological testing in 1993, Foodscan employs 18 staff. The company carries out chemical food analysis and microbiological testing for food manufacturers and retailers. Foodscan was founded by Bill Gemmell who built the business on his sound knowledge of the industry and his experience in contract labs. Bill will be leaving the business but has been working closely with Bodycote to ensure a smooth transition and continuation of the high level of service expected by his clients. Debbie Debbie (or Deb) is a fairly common given name, usually feminine, short for Deborah (or Debra) (which means "bee" in Hebrew) and is popular in most English-speaking countries. It reached its height of popularity in the United States in the 1970s.  Craig who has worked previously with Bodycote Health Sciences in Edinburgh will take over as laboratory manager.

Foodscan has already worked together with Bodycote on a several projects in the past and will now join the other food testing laboratories acquired over the last 18 months by Bodycote Health Sciences--LawLabs, Allied, Tetra and Norpath.
