Body is found in search for schoolboy.A BODY found on rocks near Porthcawl beach is believed to be that of a schoolboy swept out to sea seven days ago. Police and coastguards worked to retrieve the body when it was discovered shortly after 6am yesterday. Shady Reed, 14, was pulled into the sea by waves from the pier wall at about 6.30pm last Friday. It is believed he lived in Heol y Goedwig, Porthcawl, with family including his mother Alison, stepfather Ivel and sister Shannon. His father Ian Graham Ian Graham (born January 5, 1943) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood in the VFL during the 1960's. His best season came in 1964 when he won the Copeland Trophy for Collingwood's Best and Fairest player. is understood to also live in the area. After the teen was swept away, a non-stop 22-hour search was launched, involving police and RAF helicopters, Porthcawl and Port Talbot Port Talbot (tôl`bət), town (1981 pop. 40,078), Neath Port Talbot, S Wales, at the mouth of the Avon (Afan) River on Swansea Bay. Port Talbot is a popular seaside resort. Nearby are the steelworks at Margam and the oil refinery at Baglan. Coastguard Rescue Teams and lifeboat crews from Atlantic College, Porthcawl, Port Talbot and Mumbles. A police spokesman, said: "We can confirm a body was recovered in the Porthcawl bay area this morning at around 6am. "The body is yet to be formerly identified." Some youngsters have written messages on the stone steps at the top of the pier, near the seawall seawall: see coast protection. where the boy, believed to be a pupil at Porthcawl Comprehensive, was swept into the sea.
