The company announced today that Mr. David Gatton of McLean, VA, has joined Bodisen's Board as an independent board member. Mr. Gatton has visited China numerous times, and is well acquainted with Bodisen's management team and the company's products.

Mr. Gatton is currently the Chairman and President of Development Initiatives, Inc, a Washington, D.C.-based firm specializing in urban affairs, business development and marketing. Mr. Gatton advises cities, organizations, and companies on business development strategies, public/private partnerships and marketing initiatives. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Gatton served as the Deputy Executive Director of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, the premiere organization representing America's cities in the U.S.

Mr. Gatton holds a B.A. from Cornell College, and a Master's degree from Harvard University. He has advised various organizations on the reauthorization of the Clean Water Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Superfund reform, and implementation of the Clean Air Act.

Some of Mr. Gatton's major accomplishments include: development of U.S.-Sino Memorandum of Cooperation between U.S. and China Conference of Mayors, development of U.S. Conference of Mayors' Brownfield Redevelopment Initiative, development of several multifamily low and moderate income housing developments, business development strategies for various private firms, and assistance in development of economic development projects for numerous cities.

As a consultant, he also currently serves as Director of the U.S. Conference of Mayors Council for the New American City, a consortium of mayors, financial institutions, businesses, and non-profit organizations to promote capital flow, business and infrastructure investment in America. In his previous assignments with the Conference, Mr. Gatton served as Senior Environmental Advisor and as Managing Director of the U.S. Conference of Mayors' environmental programs, launching the Urban Water Council, the Joint Center for Sustainable Communities, and the Municipal Waste Management Association (MWMA).
