Bodde hit by new KO; Doncaster v Swansea.


SWANSEA have been dealt a massive blow after star midfielder Ferrie Bodde Ferrie Bodde (born 1982-05-05 in Delft) is a Dutch footballer who currently plays for Swansea City. On 13th June, 2007, Bodde signed from ADO Den Haag, where he started his career in 2000, for an initial fee of £50,000. Bodde has been been capped by Holland at Under 23 level.  was ruled out for the season.

The Dutchman, 27, had only just returned from 10 months out with a cruciate cruciate /cru·ci·ate/ (kroo´she-at) cruciform.

cru·ci·ate or cru·cial

1. Having the form of a cross, as in certain ligaments of the knee.

 knee ligament injury, but snapped the replacement ligament in Saturday's 2-1 win over Sheffield United.

Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins said: "It's a big blow for the club and for Ferrie. He is devastated."

Boss Paulo Sousa already has Darren Pratley, Joe Allen and Andrea Orlandi out injured for tonight's trip to Doncaster.
