Boca Research expands its international V.34 modem line with approvals in four Scandinavian countries.

BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 1, 1995--Boca Research Inc. announced that its V.34 28,800bps BOCAMODEM has been approved in four Scandinavian countries.

The BOCAMODEM received approval in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. These approvals join Boca's growing number of localized, country-specific V.34 28,800bps internationally certified modems.

The V.34 28,800bps BOCAMODEM is now available in both the external and internal versions [Product Codes: MV.34DE and MV.34DI (Denmark); MV.34SLE and MV.34SLI (Finland); MV.34NE and MV.34NI (Norway); and MV.34SE and MV.34SI (Sweden)]. The product features a 28,800bps data and 14,400bps fax modem with Group 3 send/receive fax support.

With its V.42/MNP2-4 error control and V.42bis/MNP5 data compression, users can achieve maximum throughput of up to 115,200bps - the highest standard speed available for file transfer applications over analog phone lines. The package comes complete with fax/data communications software, manuals, power adapter, telephone cable and connectors. Boca Research will ship the V.34 28,800bps approved modems in late August.
