Partnership Delivers Opportunity For Small Businesses Worldwide

To Increase Internet Productivity Over Regular Phone Lines

Boca Research, Inc. (Nasdaq:BOCI), an international data communications hardware provider, and Ramp Networks, Inc., the leading provider of easy-to-use, fast Internet access devices for small businesses, today announced they have signed a contract to jointly develop co-marketing programs, promote and sell Ramp Network's award-winning WebRamp M3 in markets outside the United States. Boca will manage the procurement process for the product's components and manufacture the WebRamp M3.

WebRamp M3 is designed to deliver Internet access to multiple users at speeds up to three times that of a single modem over standard telephone lines. It incorporates an analog router and a four-port Ethernet networking hub with three external modem ports. In addition, the WebRamp M3 includes Ramp Network's EasyIP feature, which allows businesses to support multiple users with one ISP account per modem. With WebRamp M3, businesses significantly reduce Internet Service Provider (ISP) account charges for multi-user Internet access by eliminating the need for a costly corporate or Local Area Network (LAN) ISP account.

WebRamp M3, introduced by Ramp Networks in May 1997, was awarded the prestigious "Best of Show" award at Networld & Interop-Spring, and has received numerous accolades from Internet publications and organizations.
