Boca's Cast-a-Vision will be bundled with its videoconferencing products and selected modems. The software will also be sold at retail under the Boca Research brand name. Using Cast-a-Vision is very simple. If a family is videotaping a birthday party with a home camcorder and has a PC with video capture capability, Cast-a-Vision will enable them to broadcast the birthday party to Boca's host site at www.bocaplace.com. A far-away aunt and uncle who cannot attend the party can simply go online to the Boca site and view the live party for free. The aunt and uncle do not need the software or videoconferencing hardware to view the party -- they only need Netscape Navigator An earlier Web browser for Windows, Macintosh and X Windows from Netscape that provided secure transmission over the Internet.
