Boca Java's Operation Million Cup Sets New Goal - 3 Million Cups of Coffee for U.S. Troops.


Florida Students Donate the 2 Millionth Cup

DEERFIELD BEACH Deerfield Beach, town (1990 pop. 46,325), Broward co., SE Fla., on the Atlantic coast; inc. 1925. The development of high-technology industry and commerce expanded the town and more than doubled its population between 1970 and 1990. , Fla. -- In the words of Michael S., an American soldier stationed in the Middle EastOAsk any soldier anywhere in the world, "If you could have just one thing right now, what would it be?" His answer would most likely be, "A good cup of coffee and some friendly conversation."

Boca Java's Operation Million Cup program sends that coffee to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. "It's like a little taste of home," says Boca Java founder and president Bruce Frcek. "And it really makes a difference. We've received so many wonderful thank you letters from the troops. It's amazing what the coffee does for their morale."

College Students Donate the 2 Millionth Cup

Robin Campbell, a psychology professor at Brevard Community College Most of BCC's students take part in its Associate in Arts transfer program;BCC is listed as one the nation's top producers of A.A. graduates at 22nd. It is the county seat of Brevard CountyGR6. , is a loyal Boca Java customer. "Every semester my Community Involvement class chooses a volunteer program. This semester, they voted to support two medic medic: see alfalfa.  units in the Middle East. When we asked the soldiers what they needed, they mentioned coffee. So I told the students about Boca Java's Operation Million Cup program," Campbell said.

The students raised $400 for an Operation Million Cup donation. On March 27, 2007 they donated 6,400 cups of coffee, and Boca Java matched their donation. "They thought it was an excellent way to get good coffee to our troops," said Campbell. "I cannot wait to tell the students that their efforts resulted in the two millionth cup of coffee being sent."

In less than two years, Operation Million Cup donations have surpassed the two million cup mark. "That's a lot of happy soldiers," says Frcek. "We discount the price of our coffee for the program, and we match the customers' donations cup for cup."

Going for Three
