Bobby goes on the run for charity.


A BOBBY who pounds the beat in Coventry is swapping police-issue boots for running shoes to help charity.

PC Debbie Burton, who is based at Tile Hill Tile Hill is a suburb in the west of Coventry. The railway line linking Rugby, Coventry and Birmingham goes through Tile Hill, and Tile Hill railway station is within Tile Hill near its eastern border with Solihull.  sector, in Tile Hill Lane, is running a half-marathon for the Coventry support group branch of the Lymphoma Association.

The Lymphoma Association provides emotional support and information to anyone with lymphatic lymphatic /lym·phat·ic/ (lim-fat´ik)
1. pertaining to lymph or to a lymphatic vessel.

2. a lymphatic vessel.

 cancer and to their families, carers and friends.

The Coventry support group branch is run by PC Burton's cousin, Michaela Reynolds, and her husband, Nathan, who live in Wyken.

PC Burton said 32-year-old Mrs Reynolds has had lymphoma, which is cancer of the lymph glands, since 2001. She is currently in remission after undergoing a bone-marrow transplant.
