Authorities are investigating whether singer Bobby Brown, charged with battering his wife, pop diva Whitney Houston, has violated his probation. Brown, who is due in court in Atlanta on January 7, is on probation until 2005 for a drunken driving conviction, said Courtney Johnson, a lawyer with the DeKalb County solicitor general's office. Kevin Batye, chief probation officer for DeKalb County, said that after seeking information over the alleged fight, his office will recommend the judge on Brown's probation. If a violation is found, it could send Brown to jail.
