Bob Henry Retires from the Festival of Arts Board.David Perry

for nearly six years, recently announced his retirement from the
organization. Henry, a former president and vice president, made his
emotional announcement during a recent meeting of the board of
directors. "These past years have been most fulfilling and
productive for me. I have very strong emotional ties to the Festival. It
holds a special place in my heart," said Henry.
Henry, an Emmy-winning television producer, was elected to the board of directors in 2001. He served as the board liaison for the Special Events and Membership departments for the past five years. Prior to being elected to the board, his efforts were instrumental in the cause of keeping the Festival and Pageant in Laguna Beach. A longtime Laguna Beach resident with a history of community service, Bob has served as President of the Laguna Beach Garden Club and worked hard in support of a new Senior Citizen Center. Now that he's retired, Henry plans on enjoying some well deserved R & R with his wife Annette and family. "Bob has earned our deepest respect and appreciation for his service and unflagging commitment to the Festival and Pageant, which he demonstrated time and again with boundless joy and enthusiasm. Appointed to the open board position vacated by Henry is 10-year Pageant volunteer David Perry, who will serve out Mr. Henry's unexpired term ending in November of this year. He promises to be a real asset to the Festival, and we are delighted to welcome him to our board," said Mangels. Originally from Arcadia, Perry and his family are long time residents of Irvine. He is currently a partner with the international law firm of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis, resident in the firm's Orange County office where his practice is focused on corporate matters, including assisting non-profit and not-for-profit entities.
