Bob Bacon Promoted to Vice President of Finance for Walt Disney Feature Animation.


BURBANK, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Oct. 14, 1999--

Bob Bacon Robert 'Bob' Bacon is a Democratic member of the Colorado Senate, representing the 14th District since 2005. His district encompasses the city of Fort Collins, Colorado.[1] Previously he was a member of the Colorado House of Representatives from 1997 through 2004.  has been promoted to the position of vice president of finance for Walt Disney Noun 1.  Feature Animation, it was announced Thursday by Thomas Schumacher, president of Walt Disney Feature Animation.

In his new role, Bacon will oversee production finance for all of Feature Animation, including both traditional and CGI-based projects at Disney's Burbank, Orlando and Paris animation studios Animation studio can refer to:
  • a studio where animation is created—see the List of animation studios.
  • Any three dimensional software animation package such as 3ds Max, Blender 3D, Cinema 4D, Lightwave, Maya, Houdini, or XSI.
. He will report directly to Schumacher and Jeffrey Farnath, senior vice president of business development and finance for Walt Disney Feature Animation.

Commenting on the announcement, Schumacher said, "Through his capable support of previous animated features, Bob has proven himself to be the right person to shepherd Disney's production finances as we create the very diverse projects scheduled in our near future."

Since 1991, Bacon has held numerous key financial positions within Walt Disney Feature Animation, supporting the division's expansion of its worldwide operations.

Most recently, Bacon served as Feature Animation's director of production finance, managing the budgets of the recent animated features "Tarzan" and "Mulan" and helping to develop film-cost and production-planning strategies for future animated projects.
