Boat stuck.

A FISHING boat was stranded after its propeller got tangled in its ropes.

At around 3pm yesterday, Tynemouth lifeboat was launched to help the "Ena Dolan", which had been hauling lobster pots just inside Tynemouth pier. The boat and her two occupants were stranded just a few yards from the pier, but the fishermen managed to free their propeller by diving into the water. The lifeboat escorted the "Ena Dolan" into deeper water and she then made her own way back to her moorings at South Shields South Shields, city (1991 pop. 86,488), South Tyneside, NE England, at the mouth of the Tyne River. It is a significant port. Shipbuilding and marine engineering are the main industries; chemicals and paints are manufactured. .
