) announced today that its subsidiary Texas Gas Transmission Texas Gas Transmission is a natural gas pipeline which brings gas from the Louisiana Gulf coast up through Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky, to supply gas to Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.  ("Texas Gas") is conducting a binding open season for capacity on its previously announced Fayetteville and Greenville Laterals which will transport gas for producers operating in the Fayetteville Shale play in Arkansas. The open season will begin at on January 3, 2007, and close on January 24, 2007.

The Fayetteville Lateral will receive gas from multiple receipt points in the Fayetteville Shale play in central Arkansas and deliver the gas to new and existing markets served by Boardwalk's existing and planned pipelines, as well as to multiple interstate pipeline interconnects on the Greenville Lateral. The ability to access markets on Texas Gas and interconnecting pipelines serving the Midwest, Northeast, the Henry Hub Henry Hub is the pricing point for natural gas futures contracts traded on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). It is a point on the natural gas pipeline system in Erath, Louisiana. It is owned by Sabine Pipe Line LLC.  and the Southeast will provide needed optionality to Fayetteville Shale producers. Both laterals are expected to be in service in early 2009, subject to regulatory approvals. Construction of the laterals is supported by a precedent agreement for firm transportation with Southwestern Energy Services Company (SES), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Southwestern Energy Company, a leading developer of the Fayetteville Shale.

During the open season, Texas Gas is also considering an expansion of its delivery capacity to various pipelines, including, but not limited to, the addition of compression at or near Whitesville, Kentucky, to facilitate deliveries into the Midwestern Gas Transportation pipeline and the addition of compression at or near Eunice, Louisiana, to provide additional deliveries to markets in South Louisiana, including Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation, Florida Gas Transmission Florida Gas Transmission is a natural gas pipeline which brings gas from Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama into Florida. It is owned by 50% by Southern Natural Gas and 50% by CrossCountry Energy. Its FERC code is 34. , and the Henry Hub. Such expansions may also include an increase in the size of delivery meters at various pipeline interconnects.
