Boardwalk Begins Binding Open Season for Gulf Crossing Interstate Gas Pipeline Project.

HOUSTON & OWENSBORO, Ky. -- Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, LP (NYSE: BWP), which previously announced its commitment to build the $1.1 billion Gulf Crossing pipeline, and which currently has 1.0 Bcf per day of binding precedent agreements with its foundation shippers, is now commencing a binding open season for the remaining capacity on Gulf Crossing. The Gulf Crossing project is a new 355 mile, 42-inch interstate natural gas pipeline to transport supplies from the Barnett Shale, southeast Oklahoma and northeast Texas to markets in the Southeast.

Initially, Gulf Crossing will be certificated to transport approximately 1.65 Bcf per day from the Sherman, Texas; Bennington, Oklahoma; and Paris, Texas supply areas to the Perryville, La. hub. Plans also call for Gulf Crossing to lease capacity on Boardwalk subsidiary Gulf South Pipeline Company, LP, to make deliveries from Perryville to Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation at Station 85 in Choctaw County, Ala.

Subject to regulatory approvals, the Gulf Crossing project will be in service during the fourth quarter of 2008.
