Bo McGinty looks primed to break long losing run; TRADING POST.

Byline: Pietro Innocenzi is happy to side against Divine Gift

Nap of the day

Bo McGinty 8.50 Wolverhampton

Losing run into double figures and getting long in the tooth for a sprinter, but the eight-year-old has shown definite signs of a return to form in a couple of recent starts.

Had to race wide when a close-up fourth over tonight's course and distance at the beginning of last month, and came in for plenty of support before finishing runner-up to an all-the-way winner at Lingfield last time.

He has slipped to an attractive mark - he was rated 10lb higher at this time last season - and the draw in stall three should allow him to latch on to the early pace, which is likely to come from the in-form Harry Up.

I want to be against forecast favourite Chjimes, who has risen sharply in the weights after winning four of his last five and is likely to find this tougher away from his favoured Lingfield.

Yet to finish out of the first three in four starts over fences, but probably flattered by those form figures.

Conditions are going to suit Noel Chance's runner, as he's a genuine goodground horse, but it's difficult to rule out any of his five rivals with confidence so there is no point in pussyfooting around - place lay.

Adrian Chamberlain's five-year-old is a very interesting runner back at the track where he scored on his penultimate start.

He made a good impression that day, coming from a long way back under today's pilot Neil Chalmers Sir Neil Chalmers, formerly Director of the Natural History Museum, is Warden of Wadham College, Oxford.

to collar the in-form General Tufto in the straight. Considering he is relatively lightly raced and that was his first taste of Fibresand, the son of Alzao should be open to improvement.

His subsequent disappointing run stepped up in trip at Lingfield is best forgotten, as he failed to settle early on with blinkers blinkers

Today's multiple

The 9.20 at Wolverhampton has a competitive look, featuring several unexposed three-year-olds. I would normally run a mile from a horse drawn in double figures in sprints round here, but I am prepared to take a flyer with

Monte Mayor Eagle.

appears to have improved for the fitting of blinkers, getting off the mark at Southwell last November, and has had excuses in two starts since. She found 7f stretching her back at Southwell in December, and suffered a nightmare passage over this course and distance last time. The draw is a potential nightmare, but the price should reflect that.
