Blundell of joy as Wadsworth welcomes striker back.

CHESTER CITY could include striker Gregg Blundell in the side to face Histon at the Deva Stadium tomorrow.

Blundell played for more than 70 minutes in Wednesday's reserve team game against Macclesfield and hasn't suffered any adverse reaction following his recent knee injury.

City haven't recorded a home victory since Boxing Day and manager Mick Wadsworth is hoping they end their unenviable run against the Cambridgeshire outfit.

"We desperately need the win and not just for the reason that we haven't won at home for so long," he said. "We have shown good improvements in the last few weeks but now is the time to turn our improvement into results. It has been tough and it's going to carry on being tough because the points deduction is a monkey on everybody's back.

"But we have got to keep oS n fighting and we will be doing everything we can to send the fans home happy."

Midfielder Anthony Barry who suffered ankle ligament damage in the opening game of the season, is now back in full training and may be named as one of the substitutes. Defender Shaun Kelly could also be handed a place on the bench after recovering from a knee injury.

Meanwhile, City secretary Tony Allan last night confirmed that the club had cancelled the contract of Uruguayan midfielder Fabian Yantor no.

The player has been struggling to recover from a troublesome knee injury and he has returned to his native country for treatment.

In another Blue Square Premier development, Salisbury City last night entered administration and will incur an automatic 10-point deduction.

The club reportedly owe in excess of pounds 200,000 to HM Revenue and Customs, who have brought a winding up petition.
