Blumer seeking to put fuel tank woes behind him.


GUY BLUMER is hoping for better luck this time out after being denied victory by a fuel leak last time out.

The Darlington-born former Northern Saloon and Sports car Championship driver had built up a clear lead in Snetterton's Classic Sports Car Club Zircotec Future Classics race in his Kevin Franks-prepared CIVT CIVT Cargo Interface Verification Test (NASA)

 Sierra Cosworth, bought from former F1 star Bernard De Dryver Bernard de Dryver (born September 19, 1952) is a racing driver from Belgium. He entered 2 World Championship Formula One Grands Prix, in Belgium in 1977 and 1978. In 1977 he entered a non-works March, but failed to make the grid. .

But on lap 12 the Northallerton-based driver's car filled with petrol fumes as he passed the pits.

He was unable to make the required pit stop and parked away from his garage at the fire post while fuel continued to leak out to be divulged gradually or clandestinely; to become public; as, the facts leaked out s>.

He later discovered that the fuel load combined with Snetterton's high speed corners caused the fuel tank to deform.

Blumer, backed by Charlie Taylor Garage Services and the Mouchel Group, now hopes to put those problems behind him in the Dunlop/Motorsport News Saloon Car Championship at Brands Hatch which takes place this Saturday and Sunday.
