Bluestone Names Paul E. Blondin to Board of Directors.

Bluestone(R) Software Inc., a performance leader in Enterprise Interaction Management, today announced that Paul E. Blondin, president and CEO of IP Highway, has joined Bluestone's board of directors.

Blondin joins the board with over 15 years of experience managing high technology start-up companies and growing them into industry heavyweights.

Blondin currently serves as the president and CEO of IP Highway, a software company in the quality of service (QoS) market, where he is responsible for the company's corporate positioning, long-term strategic direction as well as the management of the company's executive team. Blondin also oversees day-to-day operations of IP Highway, including product and business development, marketing, sales, customer support, and training.

Prior to joining IP Highway, Blondin served as president and CEO of Netect Inc., a network security software company, where he built the management team, raised financing, managed product development, established commercial relationships, and successfully negotiated the company's merger with Bind View Development Inc. Previously, Blondin served as chairman of the board of Open Development Corp., a provider of enhanced services platforms to the telecommunications industry, where he negotiated and concluded that company's merger with Glenayre Technologies. Earlier, as chief financial officer and vice president of finance for WAN equipment supplier, Cascade Communications Corp., Blondin oversaw the growth of revenues from $1 million in 1992 to a $400 million run rate by June 1997, employment from 35 to 950, and shareholder value from $40 million to $3.7 billion. Blondin also managed Cascade's initial public offering and its $3.7 billion merger with Ascend Communications.
