"We've come up with enabling technologies that allow companies to seamlessly offer Bluetooth connectivity to their employees and visitors while onsite" says David Crosbie, Founder of Bluesocket. "Mobile device users need the freedom to move from room to room without having to manually reconnected to the network all the time or sacrificing security. Bluesocket does this by facilitating transparent Bluetooth hand-offs between Local Access Points (LAP's) while maintaining security and integration with the internal network." The new Bluesocket product line is the first in a family of Bluetooth network enabling devices planned for release in late 2000.

"Corporations are increasingly taking advantage of Bluetooth technologies to increase productivity and reduce operating costs operating costs nplgastos mpl operacionales , even though there are still challenges to overcome with the basic technologies," said Eric Janszen, managing director of Osborn Capital. "With innovative companies like Bluesocket emerging to rapidly deploy solutions to these challenges the problems will be overcome, and Bluetooth will be a part of the solution for corporations with global Internet requirements."

"This round of funding will allow Bluesocket to further develop solutions that address the three key challenges in Bluetooth network design: mobility, reliability, and security," explained St. Paul's
