Last month Bluesocket announced Version 4.0 software for enterprise wireless LAN security and management services. Bluesocket's new Version 4.0 functionality contains key features required by large enterprises to enable successful rollouts of Wi-Fi gear. Among those are new capabilities around IDS/worm protection that automatically monitor the network for anomalies in user behavior. Unlike signature-based tools or OS specific scanners, Version 4 implements real-time monitoring of Wi-Fi users' data to detect malicious traffic based on the users' actual behavior without requiring any client-side software.
