Blues facing big struggle; Your Shout.

ALEX McLeish Alexander "Alex" McLeish (born January 21 1959, Barrhead, Renfrewshire, Scotland) nicknamed "Big Eck",[1] is a former professional footballer and is currently manager of the Scotland national team.  has to act now, not wait until ten games into the new season.

The standard of opposition on tour was far worse than we will face week in, week out in the Premier League. Do the McLeish supporters really think that on our current performances we can last these ten games and still be in the hunt to stay up? EIFFLE65, via e-mail HERE we go again Bluenoses.

The board are stalling on more transfer signings leaving it to the last minute, then missing out.

Same problem as the last season - can't score goals - so when is Alex McLeish going to sign a decent striker, someone who can score goals in the Premier? The writing is on the wall - played three friendlies, goals scored zero.

RON, via e-mail

I HAVE never been keen on the Big Eck/Roy Aitken management team.

I'm still baffled as to how we got promoted, having witnessed some of the worst football ever.

There have been too many inept performances over the seasonand-a-half under eck and I think we will really struggle with him in charge next season - and I'm not just pushing the panic button because of a few dodgy dodgy - Synonym with flaky. Preferred outside the US  preseason results. I would love to be wrong and see him keep us up.

BARRYBLUE, via e-mail I THINK this season Villa are heading for mediocrity with 'the Messiah' leading the way.

I have had serious doubts about Martin O'Neill as long ago as November last year.

In my opinion he is absolutely clueless clue·less

He has had time to put right our failings but he hasn't because I don't think he can. I have never called for his sacking but I firmly believe this year will be it and he will be found out.

WITH the big kick-off a little over two weeks away Villa are looking like a shambles.

Signings arrive too late, the squad remains inadequate and the players we have lost can't be replaced.

Surely Ashley Young Ashley Simon Young (born 9 July, 1985 in Stevenage, England) is an English professional footballer of Jamaican origin who currently plays as both a midfielder and a striker for Aston Villa.  will jump ship next. We will once again be playing catch-up come the middle of August.
