Business/Technology Editors & Real Estate Writers

HACKENSACK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 23, 2000

-- Depth and Breadth of Product Results in Launching Home-Link(R) to

Market Industry Changing System Across Real Estate Industry --

Blueflame, a leading e-solutions provider, has completed the development of the Home Marketing Internet Resource (HOMIR) for Home-Link(R) Services, the national Internet-enabled customer service program now licensed to 23 leading regional residential real estate brokers to provide their customers with all of the products and services associated with real estate transactions and moving to and establishing a new home. Through the HOMIR system, every aspect of a real estate transaction, from listing to closing, is tracked and updated via the Internet and fully integrated with the real estate broker's accounting package and other internal systems.

HOMIR increases efficiency by eliminating the need for multiple data entry at various points in the transaction process, and it centralizes and organizes data for future use in marketing and/or customer service. HOMIR is also able to notify users of important information, such as tentative closing dates, in real-time. Clients of Home-Link brokers are assigned Personal Move Coordinators, who use the software to work with customers both on scheduling and completing all of the real estate transaction-related activities as well as the activities related to a move, ranging from utility connections to moving companies to decorating and furnishing.

William Raveis, the chairman and chief executive officer of Home-Link Services, Inc., founded the company and worked to develop software applications that would enable traditional residential real estate brokers to offer additional, personally-delivered, value-added services A value-added service (VAS) is a telecommunications industry term for non-core services or, in short, all services beyond standard voice calls and fax transmissions.  to their customers.

"HOMIR is a revolutionary application for the real estate industry," said Raveis. "In the past, many processes produced data that was duplicated at different points in the system, and which was not networked in a manner that facilitated useful reporting or the use of the data to enhance customer service. HOMIR has streamlined and rationalized the system."

Raveis continued, "Blueflame quickly understood our industry and technology. They took an idea that we had been developing in-house and gave it new levels of functionality, creating a unique system that is dramatically impacting the real estate brokerage business."

Blueflame designed HOMIR to be completely scaleable to allow for future growth. It is an Internet-based product written with highly reusable re·use
