CARDIFF Cardiff (kär`dĭf), Welsh Caerdydd, city and county (1998 est. pop. 320,900), S Wales, on the Taff River near its mouth on the Bristol Channel. Cardiff is the capital of Wales and an important port. Until the early 20th cent.  City have given an early Christmas Christmas [Christ's Mass], in the Christian calendar, feast of the nativity of Jesus, celebrated in Roman Catholic and Protestant Churches on Dec. 25. Fans will pay the same price even if the club wins promotion to the Premier League.

The club has also promised payments for all season tickets can be spread over five months after an initial deposit is paid.

Chairman Peter Ridsdale said: "We have had numerous requests from supporters to purchase their seats for the new stadium as the perfect Christmas present.

"Following consultation with our supporters we have frozen all like for like prices from Ninian Park Coordinates:  Ninian Park is a football stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Currently, it is the home ground of Cardiff City F.C.  for the new stadium and we have reduced prices for under 16s."

A club spokesman added: "Cardiff City Football Club understands the current economic climate and will also offer supporters the chance to spread the payments by paying an initial pounds 49 deposit and then the balance paid over five monthly instalments starting in January.

"As an added bonus to fans, anyone who signs up before January 31 will be offered the same price freeze for the 2010-11 season, regardless of what division the Bluebirds are playing in."

Supporters who currently sit in the most expensive Grandstand premium seats paid pounds 519 for their season tickets this year.

If they wish to renew their season ticket on a like-for-like basis, they will be able to buy zone 1 tickets for pounds 519.

The same seat for a senior citizen will cost pounds 399 and pounds 369 for under 16s - the same price as the current term.

However, adult family stand tickets which cost pounds 299 this season will cost pounds 329 next year, but under 16 tickets for the same area will cost pounds 49 next season, a reduction of pounds 20, and a cost of just over pounds 2 per game.

Meanwhile, children aged under nine can pick up a family stand season ticket for free.

Vince Alm, of CardiffCity Supporters Trust, said: "The club have made the tickets very affordable and it's good value for money for this level of football.

"You can also pay for your season ticket over six interest free payments so supporters don't have to worry about one big outlay of money before Christmas."

On Monday, current Grandstand ambassadors will be able to purchase 2009-10 season tickets from the Club Room or the International Lounge at Ninian Park, while the following Thursday, December 11, will see Family Stand ambassadors able to buy their seats from the Mercedes Lounge.

From Monday, December 15, ambassador season ticket holders in the Popular Bank and Grange End will be able to renew from the Club Room. The deadline for this offer in all areas is Saturday, January 31.
