Bluebird Systems ends bullish fiscal year, 1995; imageABLE's selection by three Fortune 100 companies a highlight.

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 17, 1996--Bluebird Systems reported the close of its fiscal year, 1995, ending Oct. 31, with significant advances in key areas of its business.

Highlights include recent product selection announcements by Fortune 100 accounts, increasing penetration in its transportation market segments, repeat business from domestic reseller accounts, signature distribution agreements with key international business partners, and the introduction of the company's next generation image management server.

In addition to McKesson Corp., Bluebird Systems added Sears, Roebuck & Co. and Caterpillar Financial Products in the fourth quarter, expanding its presence among the Fortune 100 information systems community.

Significant inroads were made into the trucking industry as TNT Dugan, Advance Transportation, Federal Express Air Cargo, Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority, and Landstar Inway joined the ranks of imageABLE transportation installations.

Bluebird's established reseller channel also proved to be a dependable contributor as demonstrated by repeat business from key resellers in health care, community banking and credit unions, legal, and government applications.

Bluebird expanded its international presence by inking agreements in Kuwait, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates, while strengthening existing relationships with its distribution network in the Middle East. Bluebird has also recently established relationships in Latin America, namely, Puerto Rico and Argentina. In addition to the company's European business partners, these agreements bring localized imageABLE software to over 20 countries worldwide.

Expanded Product Line

On the product front, Bluebird significantly expanded imageABLE software's database and server platform support. imageABLE v4.0 server platforms include AIX, HP/UX, SCO UNIX, and Pyramid DC/OSx. Database support includes the top four RDBMS vendors: Informix, Sybase, Oracle and DB2. To facilitate rapid application development, the company recently shipped a beta test version of the imageABLE Tool Kit for PowerBuilder.
