Next-Generation of BlueStep CONNECT(TM), TEAM(TM), and RELATE(TM) Deliver Enhanced Project Management and Content Publishing Technology

BlueStep Inc. Tuesday announced the release of BlueStep v3.1, a suite of integrated Web-based applications designed to intelligently and affordably manage information, teams and projects via the Web.

BlueStep v3.1 includes enhanced versions of CONNECT(TM), TEAM(TM), and RELATE(TM), which are all configurable, ASP-hosted collaboration solutions increasingly used by organizations in the professional services/consulting, franchise/hospitality, and association/non-profit sectors.

CONNECT(TM) 3.1

CONNECT is an Internet-based site creation and management tool for intelligent networks of private intranets, public portals, and company extranets. With a hierarchical management structure and powerful security tools, CONNECT enhances communication for already-established business units and processes.

New features include:

-- Style Manager - allows control of brand identity to cascade through
organizational sites;

-- Security Groups - dynamically automates login process and access privileges;


-- Improved HTML Editor - allows users to insert tables or lines, redo/undo
events, and choose colors from RGB color palette;

-- RELATE Forms/Reports - permits users to capture custom data forms (e.g.,
membership options, employee directories, etc.) from RELATE databases and
publish them anywhere within a CONNECT site; and

-- Lists Reordering - allows users to sort and control the order of any item
found in a list (e.g., news articles, surveys, tasks, projects, etc.).

TEAM(TM) 3.1

TEAM is a Web-based collaboration tool that helps groups, committees, and teams work together more effectively and efficiently. TEAM uses the Internet as a common base for tracking and assigning projects and tasks, sharing documents, images, files, links, news articles, and other information. TEAM also allows group members to engage in discussions, chats, surveys, and coordinate team calendar events.

New features include:

-- Vanity Domains - enable a team to custom choose its Web site

URL in real time (e.g., www.divisionname.companyname.com or

www.teamname.companyname.com);

-- Lists Reordering - gives users control to shuffle the order of

any item found in a list (e.g., links, discussions, surveys,

tasks, projects, etc.);

-- Landing Page - gives users a custom login page with

controllable content relevant to a user's team, as well as

BlueStep self-help content, tips, and TEAM best practices;

-- Digest/Email Enhancements - improve team notification of new

tasks, projects or other posted content;

-- Favorites auto-adder - adds the team URL to "Favorites" of

browser; and

-- Project Enhancements - allows users to reorder any element and

reorganize projects more efficiently.

RELATE(TM) 3.1

RELATE is flexible data management add-on to CONNECT that allows organizations to capture information within CONNECT Internet sites. RELATE allows user profiles to be personalized by the client to suit their specific reporting needs, and serves as a powerful channel for end users to communicate back to the organization via custom data capture forms.

New features include:

-- Data Capture Wizard - defines data sets (customers, business,

etc.) and creates data entry forms to publish on CONNECT site;

-- Record Types - define any category of record types (not just

individuals and organizations);

-- Security - allows users to control access to RELATE

information using a cascading, flexible permissions model,

tailoring available information to the right audience at

page, sub-page, or object levels. Available permissions levels

include no access, reader, author, and editor.

-- User Groups - populates dynamic or user groups from RELATE

lists;

-- Export Engine - exports any report or list to a common file

format (CSV) for use in such applications as MS Word, MS

Excel, Great Plains, Blackbaud, etc.;

-- Enhanced Forms/Reports - allow users to build static reports

and publish RELATE forms anywhere on a CONNECT site;

-- Enhanced Sign-up - gives administrators the ability to have

end users sign-up as volunteers, staff, members, donors, and

so forth, and be granted access based upon their sign-up

categories; and

-- Queries - improves functionality allowing users to filter

through more data types, specify a default sort order, and

select search operators.
