BlueGill Technologies Announces IBM to Resell and Service BlueGill's Electronic Billing Software.

IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  will resell BlueGill's 1to1Server product.

As part of this agreement, IBM sales and services professionals will help companies integrate BlueGill's 1to1Server with their legacy billing systems, payment systems and websites.

Electronic bill and statement presentment offers billers a way to differentiate themselves and appeal to a customer's desire for a quick and convenient way to pay bills. Because the technology is interactive, it allows companies to directly interact with customers and to precisely target marketing and product information.

Killen & Associates, a leading Palo Alto, CA-based research firm, contends that electronic bills will constitute 12% of the worldwide total within the next two-and-a-half years.
