320(TM) DSP (1) (Digital Signal Processor) A special-purpose CPU used for digital signal processing applications (see definition #2 below). It provides ultra-fast instruction sequences, such as shift and add, and multiply and add, which are commonly used in math-intensive  algorithm standard to simplify the integration of commercially available or proprietary algorithms into the ComStruct(TM) framework.

Blue Wave's FACT is a complete, deployable resource management framework providing an environment for users to integrate and run eXpressDSP algorithms in days instead of weeks, while FACT's functionality remains open and scalable. By utilizing the full functionality of FACT, system developers can reduce their software development time by as much as 80 percent.
