Prepares SOA for Process- and Event-Driven Applications

Blue Titan Software today announced Blue Titan Data Director(TM), the industry's first native SOA data store.

The product is designed to give enterprise architects a way to handle elegantly the onslaught of distributed data coming from the proliferation of service-based applications, such as portals, business process management and mobile applications.

Today, SOA-driven data is typically stored using XML databases, relational databases and file systems. These methods are ill equipped for the transient, streaming-based nature of SOA data. Without a native SOA data store, these real-time information streams are difficult to access and cost-prohibitive to store and replicate.

Data Director is already in pilot deployment in multiple Fortune 100 customer environments, supporting the following use cases:

-- Adverse Event Backbone: Data Director persists adverse events

originating across multiple systems so that applications can

detect system-wide anomalies and in turn, invoke processes for

manufacturing, distribution and regulatory reporting.

-- Mobile Applications: Data Director acts as a forward cache

federating information and metadata close to mobile clients.
