Blue Ridge Networks Names Mike Fumai as New President and CEO.


25 year technology and telecom veteran takes helm at Virginia infosecurity leader

CHANTILLY, Va. -- Blue Ridge Networks[TM], the premier provider of secure communications products and managed security services, announced today the appointment of Mike Fumai as its new president and chief executive officer.

Fumai previously served as the company's executive vice president of sales and marketing, spearheading Blue Ridge Networks direct sales efforts while directing the expansion of the company's channel program. In his 25 years of experience in both Government and commercial markets, Fumai has held many senior level positions in several leading Fortune 2000 corporations and government industries in the communications and technology industry. Before joining Blue Ridge Networks, he was Senior Vice President, Global Sales, for Cyveillance, a provider of online risk monitoring and management solutions.

Prior to his role at Cyveillance, Fumai served as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales & Channels at Commerce One/Appnet, (now Perfect Commerce). Previously, Fumai spent 14 years at MCI (1) (Media Control Interface) A high-level programming interface from Microsoft and IBM for controlling multimedia devices. It provides commands and functions to open, play and close the device.
