Blue Peter resenter..Byline: Elaine C. Smith Elaine C. Smith (born August 2, 1958) is a Scottish actress and comedian. She was born in Baillieston in Glasgow, and she continues to live in the city. Elaine attended Braidhurst High School in Motherwell. I CAN'T believe that Blue Peter is 50 years old. It started the year I was born and I grew up with, Valerie Singleton, John Noakes and Shep, his beloved dog. I was never a big fan - it was always a bit posh and middle class for us - but I did make a jewellery box out of a Milk Tray tub for my mum's birthday. And I always tried to make that Christmas decoration with wire coathangers and tinsel tin·sel n. 1. Very thin sheets, strips, or threads of a glittering material used as a decoration. 2. Something sparkling or showy but basically valueless: the tinsel of parties and promotional events. but mine never ended up anything like theirs. I remember being so young that we all thought a Blue Peter badge was actually worth having... those were the days. |
