In 1956 a black and white newsreel film displayed a haunting piano player: it was Fats Domino--and Rick Coleman's Blue Monday: Fats Domino And The Lost Dawn Of Rock N Roll opens with this scene, revealing the story behind a man given little credit for fostering the birth of rock n roll. Media commonly attributes this birth to Elvis Presley, but it was Domino who fostered the rhythm and blues rhythm and blues (R&B)
