Thailand is the world's leading exporter of shrimp products and currently earns about $1.3 billion annually from international sales. Cyril Heitzler, the company's marketing and development director said: "We are delighted to see tangible proof that our technology can significantly improve the yields from commercial shrimp hatcheries. And since Thailand has between 10,000 and 15,000 commercial shrimp farms, we believe it represents a major potential market for our products. When shrimp hatcheries become more reliable-and we believe they will-the production of farm-raised shrimp in Thailand should take another leap forward."
