Blue Fox Contracts Out Logistics To DOCdata.

Blue Fox Enterprises N.V. and DOCdata N.V. have signed an agreement under which Blue Fox is to contract out the majority of the logistics operations of its subsidiaries Kenfil Distribution and Nr.1 Software to DOCdata. DOCdata has automated facilities capable of sending out thousands of orders per day and which can also handle peaks in order flows.

The DOCdata system is equipped both for the delivery of large numbers of small orders and for large orders within 24 hours. Using DOCdata's e-commerce and retail fulfilment ful·fill also ful·fil

Execution of the agreement

The transfer of the logistics operations is expected to start in August. Kenfil Distribution and Nr.1 Software are currently putting the last touches to the implementation of a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) An integrated information system that serves all departments within an enterprise. Evolving out of the manufacturing industry, ERP implies the use of packaged software rather than proprietary software written by or for one customer.  system. From August, orders will be fed fully automatically via a data line into the DOCdata logistics system, which subsequently ensures delivery within 24 hours. In the near future, the same system could be used to perform services for other internet companies, which wish to make use of the Kenfil Distribution product range. For instance, the Blue Fox business and retail software portal will shortly use the same facilities via Kenfil Distribution. Other internet e-commerce companies could use this system to take advantage of the set-up chosen by Kenfil Distribution and Nr. 1 Software.
