Norway Gold/Base Metal Project

Blue Emerald Resources Inc. ("the Company") is pleased to announce from its recent review of its Meraker Project located in central Norway Central Norway (Norwegian: Midt-Norge (bokmål); Midt-Noreg (nynorsk)) is an administrative division that includes the counties of Nord-Trøndelag, Sør-Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal and is used by, for example, the Regional Health , after completing more research of available information from the Norwegian Geological Survey Norwegian Geological Survey (Norwegian: Norges Geologiske Undersøkelse), NGU is a Norwegian govnernment agency responsible for geologic mapping and reserch.  files and receiving the results of a preliminary sampling program.

The company has now confirmed title to a 100 percent interest in the Meraker Project, which is currently being extended to cover additional helicopter EM anomalies indicative of potential volcanic massive sulphide sulphide: see sulfide.  deposits over a strike length of 6 miles.

Current information obtained from the geological files outline that previous mining was conducted on at least three occurrences of high grade copper from the early 1700's to 1920. values in excess of 5 percent copper from massive sulphide zones which in places had a strike length of greater than 1000 feet and a width of at least 10 feet were mined to a maximum vertical depth of 200 feet. Extraction was carried out by horizontal addits and the ore was trammed to the bottom of the hillside where it was processed. Although no mention of zinc or gold are found in previous records, better sample results taken by the Norwegian government and recently by the company in several localities have assayed up to 17 percent zinc, 6.5 percent copper and 0.11 oz/tonne gold. Several exposed massive sulphide zones were exploited but no further work appears to have been carried out after 1920 on the property until the Norwegian government in 1991 and 1992, as part of their incentive to mining companies, carried out an extensive helicopter borne EM survey and sampled several known massive sulphide dumps DUMPS

a lethal inherited disorder of Holstein cattle that causes infertility. The name is an acronym of Deficiency of Uridine MonoPhosphate S
. Of the 76 samples assayed by the Norwegian government for copper, greater than 50 percent of the samples assayed 1 percent -6.5 percent copper; 10 of 62 samples assayed for zinc assayed greater than 8 percent zinc, and 10 of 76 assayed in excess 0.03 oz/tonne gold.

The property is accessible by road and has inexpensive power available nearby. Access to potential ore zones by inexpensive horizontal addits make the economics of mining extremely attractive. No work has been done on the property since the 1920's except for the brief government sampling program and helicopter airborne geophysics geophysics, study of the structure, composition, and dynamic changes of the earth, its atmosphere, hydrosphere and magnetosphere, based on the principles of physics. . Twelve helicopter EM targets, in addition to existing high grade outcrops and previously milled zones, will be followed up and evaluated by trenching and/or diamond drilling Diamond Drilling is a highly specialized industry used for mineral exploration around the world. Most commonly using wireline and core bits with diamond encrusted matrix. To drill holes to max depths of twelve thousand feet, for the recovery of core used in verifying mineral  in the next phase of exploration which is expected to commence shortly. Assay results from additional soils and outcrop are expected within the next three weeks.
