Blue Emerald Resources Inc., announces option granted.TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 12, 1995--BLUE EMERALD RESOURCES (VSE See DOS/VSE. See BERT. 1. ) Blue Emerald Resources Inc., is pleased to announce it has been granted an option to acquire a 100 percent interest in a gold/base metal property in norway from a private company. The mining lease and claims which cover an area of approximately 6 sq. km are situated some 600 kms. north of Oslo near the town of Mo I Rana Mo i Rana is a town in the municipality of Rana, Nordland, Norway, located just south of the Arctic Circle. As of July 1, 2005, the population of Mo i Rana is 17,800.[1] History . The claims are located on a 10 km strike length of stratabound folded iron formation on which there have been several past producing mines. One of these, the Mofjell Mine produced 4 million tons averaging 3.5 percent Zn, 0.85 percent Pb and 0.3 percent Cu. A few years prior to the closing of the Mofjell Mine in 1986, a very limited amount of gold assaying was done as the primary focus was base metals and the gold credits not considered very valuable. Although gold values occur with ore grade Ore grade is a measure that describes the concentration of a valuable natural material (such as metals or minerals) in its surrounding ore. Ore grade is used to assess the economic feasibility of a mining operation: the cost of extracting a natural material from its ore is directly material, the better values up to 7.39 g/ton over 1.5 m occur in the hanging wall and footwall foot·wall n. Gold intersections from drill logs on file at the Geologic survey show 35 intervals, some in succession and usually 1-2 meters in length, recording gold values greater than 1 g/t gold from the 33 drill holes sampled. The average grade would be approximately 1.8 g/t gold. From the data reviewed to date, the better gold grades appear to be associated with hanging and footwall sulphide zones which carry less base metals than mine grade at the time of mining. (ie approximately (1-2 percent Zn, .2 to .3 percent Cu and .2 - .6 percent Pb). Gold assaying done by the Norwegian geologic survey obtained values from 1.2 g/t Au to 27 g/t Au within the stratabound iron formations in the immediate area. The gold/base metal potential of the claim group is excellent given the existing but as yet unknown gold/base metal reserves in the old mines and the adjacent untested iron formations. Under the terms of the agreement Blue Emerald may earn an undivided UNDIVIDED. That which is held by the same title by two or more persons, whether their rights are equal, as to value or quantity, or unequal. 2. Tenants in common, joint-tenants, and partners, hold an undivided right in their respective properties, until 100 percent interest in the property by paying the vendor $30,000 together with the delivery of 100,000 shares of Blue Emerald, subject to regulatory approvals. The vendor will retain a 3 percent N.S.R. on a stand alone precious metal deposit and a 15 percent net profits interest on a base metal deposit.
