Thursday Thursday: see week. announced that 17 community forums will be held this month to give the public and community-based organizations the opportunity to participate in planning for the two new, independent charitable foundations that Blue Cross is endowing with assets valued at more than $3 billion. The forums will be held throughout the state and are co-sponsored by local community organizations that serve all 58 California counties. At the forums, Blue Cross representatives will present for discussion and comment the foundations' vision and mission statements, and a proposed map dividing the state into 17 areas for planning and programming purposes.
