Captiva Software Corp. (NASDAQ: CPTV), a leading provider of input management solutions, today announced that Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK), the state's largest health insurer, has selected ClaimPack(TM), Captiva's award-winning claims processing solution, to capture and process the more than 3 million HCFA and UB92 forms and related documents the organization processes every year. The value of the contract to Captiva is approximately $600,000.

The agreement extends the relationship between Captiva and BCBSOK, which has used InputAccel(R), Captiva's flagship document capture solution, for more than a year to transform paper customer correspondence, records, benefit forms and other documents into digital content. With ClaimPack, BCBSOK will be able to replace its antiquated claims capture system and eliminate most of the manual keying of data. ClaimPack employs optical character recognition (OCR) technology to "read" data on claim forms; analyze, correct and validate that data and then automatically export the data into BCBSOK's claims adjudication and payment system. With ClaimPack, BCBSOK will be able to automatically capture and process a wider variety of forms and documents, such as UB92s, dental claim forms and enrollment forms, process significantly higher volumes of forms, reduce forms processing times and increase data accuracy.
