Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Announces New Board Positions.

PHOENIX -- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ), an independent licensee of the Blue Cross Blue and Shield Association, today announced the election of three board members to new positions on its board of directors.

The following changes to its board of directors were enacted at BCBSAZ's annual meeting of the board of directors on June 6:

* Gary L. Trujillo, president and CEO of Southwest Harvard Group, was elected as chairman of the board. Previously, Mr. Trujillo was vice chairman of the board.

* Bill Post, chairman of the board of Arizona Public Service Company (APS) and chairman of the board and chief executive officer of the parent company, Pinnacle West Capital Corporation (PNW), was elected as vice chairman of the board. He had previously served as secretary of the board.

* Barbara J. Ralston, founder and chairman of Camelback Community Bank, was elected as Secretary of the Board. Ms. Ralston previously served as a member of the board of directors.
