In his autobiography, Dubois (1912-83) focused on his service as a war tribunals prosecutor after World War II; but Medoff, a frequent writer about the Holocaust and American Jewry, describes Dubois' efforts to get the US government to help victims of the Holocaust. Those efforts led to the founding of the War Refugee Board, of which he was the leader.
